Roof Structural Repairs in Scarborough

About this project

This Scarborough homeowner was quoted a complete roof replacement elsewhere, but our structural assessment showed the existing roof could be saved. The real problem was in the framing: undersized and weakened rafters had allowed the roofline to sag over time. We reinforced the roof structure from inside the attic — sistering new lumber alongside the compromised rafters, adding structural supports and bracing, and correcting the deflection to restore a straight roofline. All work was completed without disturbing the existing roof covering. The result: a structurally sound roof at a fraction of the cost of replacement, with the existing roofing left intact and years of service life preserved.
