Yes. Buildoreno is a licensed Ontario residential contractor, fully insured (commercial general liability), and WSIB-covered. All work is performed to Ontario Building Code, and structural work (underpinning, additions) is engineer-supervised with stamped drawings. We pull permits in every municipality we serve and provide proof of insurance, WSIB certificate, and engineering documentation for every project.
Our primary focus is residential — single-family homes, semi-detached, row houses, and basement apartments. We do take on commercial roofing projects (flat roof installations and maintenance on small commercial buildings, plazas, and industrial units) and small commercial renovations. For purely commercial new construction or large-scale commercial renovation, we recommend specialized commercial general contractors.
Buildoreno offers a $0-deposit Payment Protection Promise. Payment is structured as milestones tied to verifiable work completion: typically 30% at materials delivery, 40% at the project midpoint, and 30% at final walkthrough and sign-off. This protects you from contractors who collect large deposits and disappear. We accept e-transfer, cheque, credit card, and cash. Financing options are available through our financing partners.
Yes. Every project includes a workmanship warranty of 5–10 years depending on the service category. Roofing carries a 10-year workmanship warranty plus the manufacturer's material warranty (typically 30–50 years for metal roofing). Underpinning includes engineering warranty (5–10 years) plus structural design certification. Landscaping carries a 5-year warranty on hardscape installations. Manufacturer warranties on materials apply separately and we transfer them to you at project completion.
For straightforward residential projects (single roof replacement, standard landscaping, basement renovation), expect a written quote within 3–5 business days of an on-site assessment. For complex structural work (underpinning, additions, second-storey), the quote process takes 2–4 weeks because it requires structural engineering input.
